The Work Rights Centre is looking for a Finance Manager to join our ambitious and fast-growing team. We are a charity set up by migrants, for migrants and disadvantaged Britons. Every day our multilingual team of advisers support beneficiaries to stand up to unscrupulous employers, apply for jobs, access benefits when they're struggling, and secure their immigration status.
We're looking for another colleague to join our passionate team. This is an ideal position for a candidate who has experience in both charity financial accounting and management.
The Role
The primary purpose of the Finance Manager is to ensure smooth running of our fast-growing charity by taking ownership of the charity financial function and records, as well as providing financial management support to the COO. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will be responsible for both maintaining accurate Quickbook records, including monthly reconciliation, and producing regular management accounts. On the financial management side, you will monitor cash-flow and spend against grant and organisational budgets. On the same day you might be supporting the COO with creating a budget for a new project, issuing invoices or processing staff expenses.
About you
This role would suit someone who has great attention to detail and strong numerical skills, who is a great communicator and problem-solver. Above all, we are looking for someone who can show initiative and is not afraid to pitch in when needed! You’ll have substantial experience in a similar finance role in a charity, ideally managing multiple restricted funds. Key criteria include:
