We're hiring a Finance and Operations Officer

By Kasia Figiel - 28 March 2022

The Work Rights Centre is looking for a Finance and Operations Officer to join our friendly team. We are a charity set up by migrants, for migrants, and for all disadvantaged communities throughout the UK, and we are dedicated to ending poverty by helping people exit precarious work, and access the social security they are entitled to. Every day advisers at our two Clinics help migrant workers access their work rights, and support them in improving their professional mobility.

We are a small but fast growing organisation - since we started in June 2016 we have helped over 3,000 individuals to recover unpaid wages, challenge unfair dismissals, and find more secure employment.

The primary purpose of the Finance and Operations Officer position is to ensure smooth running of the charity through providing finance, operations and administrative support. Working closely with the COO, you will be responsible for our bookkeeping and many aspects of our finance, operations, and HR support.

This is a varied and hands-on role that would suit someone who has great attention to detail and organisation skills, who is a great communicator but can also work autonomously. Above all, we are looking for someone who is not afraid to pitch in when needed! You'd ideally have some experience in bookkeeping and/or administrative functions, and some accounting qualification (or part qualification) would be beneficial (but is not essential).

Please see the attached job description for more detail.
