We are recruiting trustees

By Olivia Vicol - 02 February 2022

The Work Rights Centre is looking to widen its Board of Trustees. If you have a real passion for justice, and you share our vision of a world where everyone has access to decent work, social security, and security of immigration status, we want to hear from you.

What do trustees do?

Trustees are expert volunteers who oversee the governance of the charity. They shape its strategic direction, scrutinise finances and resource allocation, and support the staff team in developing the policies and procedures needed to comply with legislation and provide an excellent service for the public benefit. It’s a great deal or responsibility - but also a chance to make real, lasting social change.

Person specifications

We are looking for trustees who share our values and can support the charity’s development with expertise in social welfare law, policy influencing, or compliance. We particularly welcome applications from people who have lived experience of the issues we are trying to solve, and can identify with the experiences of our service users. Download the job description, and don’t hesitate to contact us with questions.

Apply

Send your CV and a brief cover letter detailing why you would like to join the board to the Chair of Trustees, at holly.robinson@workrightscentre.org and the CEO, at olivia.vicol@workrightscentre.org
